Here are a few tips to make your home and life flow more smoothly...

1. Many people feel life is out of control with too many things to do and not enough time to do them. 

One of the ways to overcome this type of overload is to structure our days by establishing routines that put us in control.

What are your daily routines? 

Can you structure your days to accomplish all that needs to be done so that all YOUR needs (physically, mentally and emotionally) are met along with the needs of others with whom you share your life.

How can they be improved?

If you need to establish new routines then there is no time like the present - just do it and DO IT NOW. You will be surprised how much easier life is when you have established routines. 

Don't forget to talk with your family so you can include family routines.

2. Slow down and make an appointment with yourself to take time to replenish and renew your body, mind and spirit. 

This week do something just for you.

- Have a massage

- Linger in a bubble bath (spa or sauna)

- Have a facial or body wrap

- Have a professional manicure and pedicure

- Make an appointment to have lunch with a friend you have not seen in a while.

- Take time to watch the sunset (or rise)

Be Kind to yourself because you deserve it!

3. You will not doubt have heard the expression "enthusiasm is contagious". 

Enthusiasm has the power to lift us up along with anyone in our presence.

Make a list of fun things to do and what really excites you. 

If you ever feel under par - look at your list, pick something to do and just do it. You will feel your old self again in no time.

What can you be enthusiastic about?

Each day offers us new possibilities and choices for expanding our lives and fulfilling our desires.

Each morning ask yourself. 

How can I add value today to my...

- Home

- Business

- Life 

Then roll up your sleeves and get to work.

5.  Get out in the Garden

Did you know that if you spent just 30 minutes a day in your garden after a few weeks you would probably have the best garden in the street?

If you're looking to lose a few inches around your waistline, or maintain your weight, gardening is a wise choice.

It's fun, relaxing, enriching and healthful when done regularly.

Medical studies show that gardening is good for us and uses all the major muscle groups - the muscles that do most of the calorie burning - in the human body. Legs, buttocks, shoulders, stomach, arms, neck, and back all get a workout along with increasing flexibility and strengthen the joints. 

Take the time to maximize the health benefits of gardening 

Plan a daily gardening activity. Make it a point to do a little everyday and avoid spending your precious weekend time "catching up in the garden". 

Don't let one activity consume all your time e.g. hours of digging or squatting pulling weeds. 

Break up strenuous gardening chores with more moderate and enjoyable activities or you'll pay for it later with (not so healthy) sore and burning muscles.

6.  Lift your spirits with some music. At work or at home it doesn't matter. Some upbeat tunes can really help get you moving, thinking, and feeling better.

It's amazing how soothing or energizing the choice of music can make to help balance the day.

Select something that suits your mood and if the day is variable, change the style often.

Then sing or dance (if you would like to) as you go about your day.

Have some fun with your favorite music.

7. Explore new Interests

If you don't make a change in your life, will you ever make your dreams come true?

If something has captured your interest recently. Why not explore this interest further? 

Check out some books from the library, or do some research on the Internet. 

You might be surprised where this newfound knowledge leads you.

8. Take a few moments each day to turn every meal into an occasion.

Put a nice cloth on the table, arrange a fresh floral centerpiece or alternatively use a live lavender plant ... lavender has a calming and relaxing effect on our senses making for a more enjoyable meal Arrange your place settings - china, cutlery, placemats and napkins along with a glass of water, juice or wine to complete your setting.

9. keep your life in balance by letting people know that you care about them and appreciate their efforts - Take the time to send cards, phone, write letters, send flowers and give hugs to let them know that you care.
